Coogee is a beachside suburb of local government area City of Randwick 8 kilometres south-east of the Sydney central business district, in the state of New South Wales, Australia. It is also a part of the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney. I really enjoyed going to this beach, it was after taking a swim in Gordon's Bay, a medium sized beach with lot's of food shops and a busy atmosphere. It was really nice to sit and watch the sunset with some friends, until a bunch of eager sea-gulls started pecking at our food. Although, it was pretty entertaining seeing them all fight over a French fry.
The car-parks were a little inconvenient as there wasn't that much space and it was pretty busy even though it was around evening time. Coo Gee seems like a family beach on first impressions, but there was a wide variety, from kids playing beach ball games to friends having Christmas picnics on the large grass area.
All in all I enjoyed my time at Coo Gee and it's a pretty relaxed atmosphere.
